Duck face or fish gape? Probably one of the sillier posts on Onesaid, but indulge me for a sec. Personally, when I take selfies, the fish gape is my preferred look. It adds a certain mystique that no other expression can. Suddenly I look pensive and interesting. Whereas with duck face, I feel like I'm trying too hard, almost as if I'm sexualizing myself to impress someone else.

This comparison does a pretty good job showing the difference. What do you think? Duck face or fish gape?

My two cents
@Rhona Duck face all the way. The fish gape expression looks like she’s about to sneeze. The duck face, on the other hand, looks like she just tasted something yummy and wants more of it 😉

@Rhona Fish gape looks a lot more natural. When people purse their lips it can make them look uncomfortable or upset.

@Rhona I prefer the “duck”/closed mouth/pouty look for the same reason you prefer the “fish/mouth slightly open look-it FEELS like I’m trying too hard when I stare into the camera with lips parted ever so slightly....the fish gape has too much of a sensuous/come hither vibe to it; which is why I usually go with the”fish gape’s”classier cousin....the”duck face”🥴☺️
