I had my car broken into last night, and you know what? I forgive whoever did it. I know what it's like to struggle. I've been there, and I know that one of the toughest things about hitting rock bottom is how tempting it becomes to do the wrong thing.

Who am I to judge someone for falling into that temptation? It's strong as hell. Even though I never succumbed to committing a crime, my own circumstances taught me that sometimes people do bad things because they're desperate, not because they're bad.

@HelloGeronimo Interesting to see someone take the high road and not get angry and even. Maybe it’s a cycle if we were more caring and forgiving, others wouldn’t be so tempted to act out carelessly. Same goes for the unfortunate, if we were more sympathetic and helpful, we would all be better off. Good for you!

I'm new here
@Jordan That’s exactly how I see it. Empathy is the key to understanding why people do what they do. Unfortunately, it sometimes requires living through it.
