Depression Food for thought. This is just to open peoples mind. Something is going seriously wrong with the way things are happening with mental health and all the other nonsense. So I ask. What came first, bad diet or depression?

@brettlechnar Interesting question. Funny how the phrase “food for thought” takes on a whole new meaning when we think about how food actually changes our thoughts. Going to do some digging on this subject

@brettlechnar Hmm, I know that in many cases, the two are related. But I wonder whether either one can come first. For example, can depression lead you to make poor choices for your health? And conversely, can poor choices lead to depression?

@brettlechnar That is interesting. I would think it depends on the individual. A bad diet can lead into self image issues, leading into depression and a downward spiral. On the same token, for someone else already being depressed can most definitely lead into poor dietary choices. Either way, its an issue and mental health had definitely become more of an epidemic. You have to be stronger than it and not succumb to the pressures life throws at us.

@Anamora It definitely sounds like the old adage what came first the chicken or the egg

@Jordan Sure it depends on the person, but for every person that is suffering, their diets are not good. It blows my mind. Every single time

@brettlechnar Interesting question! It’s nice having to think outside the box and question ourselves.
