Choice is good. Structure is better. I consider myself a feminist, and I support efforts to empower women all around the world. But at the same time, I'm witness to the detrimental effects of evolving gender roles in America. Today's women are expected to build great careers, maintain orderly homes, and nurture loving families. This is a tall order, and we simply can't do it all.

As if it weren't enough, society now looks down upon women who choose to adhere to traditional gender roles and focus on family over career. As a result, women are pressured into juggling all of these responsibilities only to fail at every one of them. I've seen it time and time again, and I'm terrified of what the future holds for me.

In a way, the traditional roles we played as men and women in society helped bring #purpose, #structure and #clarity to our lives—three things we desperately need today.

Knowledge is my motto
@AudreyXJupiter We are wired different and as such, there will be roles in which women will surpass men’s ability and viceversa.

Living a new life
@AudreyXJupiter It’s funny when you think about it. People are so set on breaking gender roles that they’ve become less accepting of women who choose to follow traditional roles.
